About UAE fuel prices

How UAE fuel prices are set

Since 2015 the UAE has linked retail fuel to global oil prices through a monthly review. A federal Fuel Price Committee announces new petrol and diesel rates at the end of each month, effective the 1st, and the same price applies at every ADNOC, ENOC and Emarat station in the country. That is why this month's Special 95 rate of AED 3.29/litre has held since July 2026 and will not change until the next announcement.

Special 95, Super 98 and E-Plus 91 — which to use

UAE petrol comes in three octane grades. Special 95 (AED 3.29) is the standard grade most cars use; Super 98 (AED 3.40) is higher-octane for performance and many German cars; E-Plus 91 (AED 3.21) is the budget grade, fine for older vehicles. Diesel is AED 3.60. Always use at least the octane your manufacturer specifies.

Why every emirate charges the same

Because the price is federal, there is no cheaper emirate — Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain all pay an identical per-litre rate on the same day. The only thing that varies is the station brand: ADNOC dominates Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates, while ENOC and Emarat are common in Dubai.

UAE fuel in Indian rupees

For the large Indian community in the Gulf, AED 3.29/litre works out to about ₹86 at today's AED 1 = ₹26.07. A full 40-litre tank of Special 95 is roughly AED 132 (≈₹3,431). Use the calculator above for any volume, and the India-vs-UAE comparison to see how that stacks up against your home city.
